Endometriosis happens when tissue resembling the uterus lining (endometrium) grows outside of the uterus on other organs such the uterus outer walls, ovaries, fallopian tubes and intestines. This tissue may create adhesions (scar tissue) and cause much pain, especially during the menses, but also at other times.
Dr. Karol Chacho M.D., an expert on Endometriosis, explains that the causes for endometriosis are:
- Retrograde menstruation. Almost all women have some blood and tissue that backs up through their tubes and lands in their pelvis. Most women will clear this out. In some women this tissue implants and grows.
- Blood or lymphatic spread. Menstrual tissue enters the blood stream or lymphatic system and spreads out of the uterus.
- Coelemic metaplasia. Stem cells in other parts of the body become endometriosis.
Chacho also recommends the following lifestyle changes:
“An overall healthy life style is recommended. Watching your weight, eating a healthy diet and getting exercise all improve your immune system. There are no specific foods or diets that have been proven to be helpful.”
Hunyuan medicine investigates disease by assessing the ‘on-time’ unfolding of the separation-unification action of the body’s life-energy. When a person wakes up it is called separation and when a person goes to sleep this is called unification. This simple description demonstrates a cyclical motion, a motion that repeats itself over and over. Indeed, the human body works in a cyclical fashion. The actions the human body takes are repetitive. In the same way, ovulation is a cyclical event and menses, too, is a cyclical event. The growing and shedding of uterus lining is a cyclical event. Dr. Yaron Seidman D.A.O.M., Hunyuan medicine founder, asserts that dealing with endometriosis means dealing with a problem relating to the cyclical action of the uterus lining. This is a unique approach to endometriosis that brings a great promise. According to Seidman, instead of looking at endometriosis as a localized and physical problem, it should be viewed as a timing cyclical problem. More specifically, this cyclical problem is derived from a Jue Yin disharmony. Jue Yin or Concealed Separation Outward is the first of three steps composing the separation process in the human life-energy. In this step of separation there is a constant calculation of how much and how fast should separation take place in the next minute, next hour or next day. Jue Yin constantly calculates the speed of separation. When this calculation goes astray the separation speed goes erroneous and endometrium like tissue can grow outside the uterus. This Jue Yin calculation problem often ties together with the person’s recharging ability and the Pivot in the ovum. In other words, the same Jue Yin disharmony may lead to a poor egg quality and hence to infertility. By only removing the endometriosis tissue and not harmonizing the Jue Yin function, it may not improve the underlying disharmony, the endometriosis may reappear and it does not solve the poor egg quality. If only the physical tissue is addressed, infertility does not resolve. Physical obstruction, such as endometriosis, is one cause for infertility, but other causes such as unification-separation disharmony must be considered. Dr. Seidman explains that while Hunyuan medicine falls short on removing the physical endometriosis compared to surgery, yet it excels with harmonizing the unification-separation energetics, which help resolve the underlying cause and increase egg quality. This impacts the root of endometriosis.
