I had never had very regular periods, but at age 26 , my periods stopped altogether. I went through two injectable cycles, one IUI and the other IVF, it was at this point that I read about the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbs as infertility treatments. I would have never thought I will be able to get pregnant. Three years ago I suffered from a stroke. My right side was numb and I suffered a terrible back pains. 2 years of physio didn't help. Our story is a bit less complex than most of your patients, but surely others can relate. As you know, I faced issues relating to pregnancy as I had a history of miscarriages. After having a third miscarriage, my gynecologist recommended my husband and I make an appointment to discuss infertility options with an infertility clinic. I can't believe that almost a year has passed already since I went to see you for the first time and now the baby is already at home. I remember how desperate I was when I found you after two failed IVFs. My doctor explained to me that it was because I was 40 years old, but you told me that 40 is not too old and you were right. Well, it happened early, really early. My water broke on its own at 6am in the morning and we went to the hospital. The little guy just wanted to come out. Once the real labor started, it went pretty quick… and I did it all without any drugs (I don’t think I’ll ever do that again). J. is doing great… Thanks again for all your help with this pregnancy.
